WhatsApp users can now choose their default chat theme from multiple design styles

According to a feature tracker, WhatsApp is likely working on a new feature for Android that will allow users to choose a default theme for their chats and chat bubbles from a variety of design styles.

This new feature could offer users different design options through a new interface and increase the customization options for users on the messaging platform. On the other hand, along with the development of this new feature, another report is also heard that WhatsApp is working on another feature that will allow users to mention others in status updates.

More Theme Options for WhatsApp for Android:
According to WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, the messaging client is developing this new feature to release the app with an improved version in the future. It has been spotted on WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.24.20.12. It is believed that following its rollout, users will be able to choose from multiple design styles of their choice.

The screenshot above shows that the color of the chat bubble and the color of the wallpaper are automatically adapting to complement the chosen theme.

The feature tracker also says that users will have the option to choose any color of their choice from the chat bubble to further enhance their customization.

It is said that the option to choose from multiple themes is present in the settings of the Android WhatsApp app. It will be applied to all conversations by default, although users will still have the opportunity to manually override or cancel it for a specific chat.

Notably, this default theme was first spotted by a feature tracker in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.17.19.

WABetaInfo claims that the ability to choose this default theme from the options is still in development, and it is not yet available to beta testers registered through the Google Play Beta Program. However, it is important to note that the instant messaging platform may be working on different new features for different platforms. But not all of them are publicly unveiled.
